I should probably start out this blog by apologizing for not
being in better contact and giving you all the time that you deserve. I’ll be honest in the last two months I’ve
been pulled in fifteen different directions simultaneously. I just got back from Kenya on Wednesday. I went over there for ten days to check on
our host contacts and also, to do some trip setup while evaluating whether or
not it was safe to start sending teams back into Kenya. Before that, I traveled from Georgia to Ohio
to spend the week support raising. I am
trying to prepare myself to move to Kenya in the fall so that I can live there
year round. If that were not enough I am
also living in Gainesville, Georgia and leading five interns that work in the
AIM office. All of you know them they
have been walking you through the application process (their great). They finish up their time here the day before
you arrive for training camp. Oh did I
also mention that I am the one that takes care of all of the setup for training
camp this year. So I’m balancing all of
this stuff and trying to prepare to lead a team to Peru. However, I promise you that once we are
altogether at training camp you immediately become the most important thing in
my life.
I want you to know that I am eagerly anticipating this trip
to Peru. I have been reading your blogs
when I get a chance and I admire the enthusiasm that all of you have for this
trip. I want you to know that I see the
makings of a great team. We are going to
live together, laugh together, probably laugh some more, and we are going to go
into the villages and love people like crazy.
I’m praying for all of you and I am expecting that God is going to use
you in some incredible ways. If any of
you are interested in knowing more about my time in Kenya or even more about me
then feel free to click on my name on the left side of the page and it will
take you to my website.
