Here is a little bit of information about me… Alex Wessner…
When I was about 9 months old, my birthdad (Dan) left my mom and me. But a year later, my mom met my current Dad (Rich, picture below), and what a blessing that was! I wouldn’t trade him for any other Dad ever!
My ultimate goal in life is to become a full time missionary. I know that I am a missionary anywhere I am, but I would love to travel to other countries and do some long-term mission work in those contries. For the past three summers (2004, 2005, and 2007) I have gone to Russia with my church. What a blessing that was also!
Also, I was lucky enough to go down to Mississippi, and tennessee for disaster relief, again with my church…
For whatever reason, I am extremely paranoid of sharks. to the extent that I won’t go in an aquarium if there is a shark exhibit. Also I won’t go in the ocean past the middle of my calf. Oddly enough… I enjoy learning about them…
My family is amazing and extermely supportive of me and God’s plan for me… I love them dearly! There is my mommy (Nikki), my daddy (Rich), my brother (Brandon), and my puppy (Sawyer). Of course this is not including my extended family and church family, all of which are loved as well!
Well… That’s enough about me for now… I’ll leave the more interesting stuff for when I meet you guys in June! So soon! Can’t wait!!
God Bless!!
Alex
Alex,
thanks for sharing a little bit about yourself. Glad that you are apart of the team and looking forward to meeting you at training camp. Is it safe to say that you don’t really like shark week?
Actually… I kind of enjoy shark week… although I am terrified to watch it… it’s almost oxymoronic… I like to figure out more ways of avoiding sharks, defense against sharks, and how powerful, yet majestic God made them… I don’t know… it’s strange… =D
Alex,
Remember that sharks are the only creature on earth that will drown if they swim backwards, so just pull it backwards by the tail if you encounter one!! (PS: the bible says “fear not” 365 times, once for every day of the year!)
We will be praying for you specifically that God would remove any fears you may have.
In HIM,
Tiffany Mullis
wow… Thanks for your prayers! That’s exactly what God did to me this trip too. He made it so that I had no other choice but to depend soley on Him for my strength. Through Him He has mastered my fears and I am glad to say they are no longer existant!
Thank you so much…
God Bless!
